every 1 has cancer cells in them and you just need to trigger them

My mum died of breast cancer when she was 65. you aren’t born with it. But some research shows that there may be a gene that carries an increased chance of it. also, i filled in a questionnaire about family members to see if I was at a high risk (my mum’s sister and their mother both died of breast cancer too). It turned out that I had a slightly higher chance of getting it than the genral population and that this would lessen the longer I go all clear. My daughters are not at any greater risk than the general population of getting it - provided I stay clear.
They have many theories about the different types of cancers and some do seem to run in families.
I think the best way is to eat and live as healthily as possible and not to worry about it. worry doesnt make something NOT happen and it may make you ill. And anyway, none of us knows how long we have to live or how we will die. the best way is to live your life as if each day were the last.
But if you feel you are at greater risk of lung cancer then don’t smoke and stay away from smokey atmospheres. Eat healthily and get plenty of exercise.
    Hope this helps.

It is belived to be true that you are born with and it can be triggered by many things. I have had 7 members of my blood line family die of cancer of various types over the years and have recently lost my farther in law to bowel cancer and a close friend to brain cancer. everyone seems to have there own story about it and every one has been hurt by losing someone in this way. But there are charities that are there to leand support to anyone that’s lost in this way that let you know your not alone.

No body is born with cancer, some people are more prone to developing cancer cells for many reasons, these could be genetic, dietry or enviornmental.
it is very important to make sure that you stay away from carcinagens which stimulate the growth of cancer cells; these could include asbestos, alimumium in deoderants, and even the additives they put in lemon sented household cleaning stuff to make it smell lemony.
My mum had cancer when i was 13 but luckily she recovered, its also important to eat the correct amounts of foods, many impurities within the foods we eat can also stimulate the growth and spread of pre-cancer cells.

    hope that helped =)

yes i do believe we are all born with it and it takes something to trigger it off,a very bad knock or you are just unfortunate, my brother in law died a few weeks ago with it and ON felt ill in November and died 3 months later its so so awful, a total shock to the system he was only 63,i wish they could find a cure for it,yes its also your lifestyle, but plenty of broccoli its very good and can help prevent cancer and carrots

Breast Cancer survivor since 2000. My son (I divorced when he was 1) was 12 and grew up! He did dishes, laundry and cooking for himself. Heck, he took care of himself so I could focus on myself.

No family history! I was considered TOO YOUNG at 42. Raising my son by myself, I sure didn’t party!

So, what gave it to me?

No one is born with it. Our immune systems fight it off every day. Sometimes things happen. Could be environmental, diet stress, or just life. If we knew what caused it we could prevent and cure it. We found out HPV can cause cervical cancer, and developed a vaccine. Other will be developed too.
My dad died of bladder cancer, my wife on melanoma, 2 uncles with lung cancer and my mom is currently being treated for colon cancer. Take the precautions you can. Eat health, exercise and go for you doctor checkups regularly.

I had breast cancer 4 years ago. My husband had skin cancer 6 years ago. My father had prostate cancer 10+ years ago. There could be many factors to trigger cancer in a person, but on the other hand it could be just something random, which my cancer was.

I don’t think you’re born with it, but it’s more like some people are pre-destined to get it, based on heriditary, lifestyles, etc.
I’ve known of people who ate healthy, excercised, lived right, and got regular checkups, but they ultimely died of a heart attack. When its your time to go, you are going to go; whether its suffering with cancer, or dying peacefully in your sleep.

Both my grandads died of cancer, and they both suffered with it. One had lung cancer and the other had bone cancer. They both were smokers too, and one was a diabetic. My great grandma had ovarian cancer, the docs found it in the last stages. They gave her 6 months to live, but she lived 10 years with it! But she suffered too. She has been gone for almost 20 years now, and I was blessed to have been old enough at the time they were all alive to remember them now as an adult.

My mum is one of 7 children. Her father died from lung cancer and her siblings have either from lung cancer or heart disease. My mum is 67 but her father and siblings all died between the ages of 64 and 66. My mum has had lung disease since she was in her 30’s. I think it’s in your gene’s. You can only but try to live a healthy lifestyle and have any problems checked by your doctor

  14. Char Says:

I have no family history of cancer. I don’t smoke or drink. I used to be both an athlete and a soldier. But, I still got cancer. My sister thinks it was due to the incredible stress I was under in caring for my mother, who had Alzheimer’s. The only other thing I could think of is exposue to some funky pesticides and herbacides when I was deployed to Haiti. Who knows for sure. I’m sorry about your mom though.
    Best wishes

Yes, cancer has affected my life. I know of many who have died because of it.

Cancer is a neoplasm, new cell growth. Studies have shown that people under severe stress have weakened immune systems and the body does not recognize that a cell has mutated.

Chemicals can cause this mutation as can radiation, inhaling smoke or any other molecule that has a carcinogeous effect.

I doubt we are born with it. I feel that it is misinformation that is propagated to cut down on lawsuits and make the victim at fault for this disease. The cigarette companies would love that. One third of lung cancer victims who did not smoke lived with a smoker. In a family of two parents and six kids where one of the parents smoked there is a chance that two of them will die of lung cancer even though they themselves never smoked.

There has been research done that shows there is a “switch” in each and every cell in our bodies that when tripped can form the rapidly dividing pattern of cancer, but it requires an outside catalyst to kick it into gear. That is where we get the word carcinogen.

Carcinogens are found in the air we breath (cigarette smoke, ethers, alcohols, etc.), the food we eat (food additives, preservatives, etc).

Saying that everyone is born with it is like saying every single house will burn down because of the electrical wiring.
