Cancer is a deadly disease that we dont have a cure for. There are many typed of it. Lung cancer is caused by smoking. Skin Cancer is caused by being out in the sun all day and getting sunburns CONSTANTLY not like for three days like for months without any breaks in points of non-sunburned skin. Most cancers we dont know how they are caused. We can help prevent some cancers like cervical cancer and we can help treat cancer. But there is no complete cure for any cancer.

Cancer happens when normal cells change so that they grow in an uncontrolled way. This uncontrolled growth causes a tumour to form. Nobody knows what causes this to happen.

Smoking has been linked to lung and some other cancers, and excessive sun exposure to skin cancers, but other than that we’re still pretty much in the dark.

Many people, invariably those who have never had cancer, have pet theories about what causes it - diet, lack of exercise, other lifestyle factors - that’s because it is less frightening for them to invent or repeat things like that than it would be to accept that they are as much at risk as anybody else.

I once thought my organic vegan diet would protect me against cancer. It didn’t.

Cancer is still very much a mystery; we don’t know what causes it.
