It is very important that you choose the right glasses for you. If not, then everyone who looks at you is going to notice the poor fitting glasses before they notice anything else about you. That is the curse of glasses: they are the first thing that individuals see when they look at your face. If they look bad, they?re going to be noticed. If they look good, they’re going to be noticed. Either way, they are going to be noticed. There is no hiding behind a black curtain in this case.

The best way to find the right glasses for you is to use your facial features. You must accentuate good features and calm down bad features. It is amazing how the right pair of glasses can make you look entirely different. It is kind of like a face lift without actually having surgery.

The only way your new glasses are going to work is if you abide by what your facial features are telling you. Here are the different facial types and what style of glasses are the best for those types:

- The round face: The jaw bone and brow lines are softer with a round face. This means that the length and the width of the face are about the same. The idea is to find glasses that will make the face look thinner and not so short. The glasses that you want if you have this face type is a pair that is wide and narrow. This means the rectangular style of glasses will be best. If the glasses have a brow bar, the glasses will give the appearance of the eye being pulled upward.

- The long face: This is when the face has more length than width, so you know you don’t want a rectangular frame. Individuals with long faces also tend to have long noses, so there is a desire to shorten that up as well. Glasses with horizontal lines that are strong with a sort of triangular shape to them may work, as well as glasses that are round and less narrow. For the long nose, having a low bridge will help with that.

- The oval face: The oval face is the perfect face shape and is the easiest to choose eyeglasses for. This means that, if you have an oval face, you can choose any type of glasses you want.

- The heart shape face: The jaw line is small, but the forehead is wide. The idea is to minimize the width of the face with an oval pair of glasses. This equalizes the width between your forehead and your jaw line. Rectangular and rimless are also options with this face type.

- The rectangular face: This face already has a strong square shape, so it is ideal to stick with circular frames to make the strong square features a bit softer. The nose is also a bit long, so the circular frames will shorten it up a bit.

- The square face: The angles for the brow lines and the jaw are quite strong. The face is long as it is wide, so the idea is to make the face seem thinner and to reduce those strong angles. That means the ideal pair of glasses is oval frames that are narrow. That will soften up all of those strong angles and make your face look softer.

If you are still not sure of your face shape, ask your optometrist or someone trained in the field so that they can tell you. That way you can pick the perfect pair of eye glasses and look great!

A new idea has emerged in health care: a small mobile device that stores health information and you can upload it online. These mobile devices are marketed to those who are busy, on the go and in need of an easier way to manage their health needs.

These devices are useful because they can be used to write down symptoms, to store important health care data that one might need to share with health care providers, as well as alerting a patient to take their medicine. This was reported in Sunday’s New York Times article.

Will this be a potential new trend in the industry? We would highly doubt it. The going rate for one of these things is around $200 – and it just doesn’t seem worth it.

There is, though, a software program that’s compatible with mobile devices like the iPhone. That might be a good idea. Also, electronic medical information and health records will likely become more prevalent as time goes on. Maybe there will be a demand for these after all.

We’d probably be more on board if the devices helped people manage their health insurance plans. They could provide reminders about monthly premiums, let you do a quick check to see if a medical service or prescription drug is covered, or if a health care provider is in your health plan’s network. We might be on to something

One of the many uncertainties in this world concerns our health. We never actually know how the cards will fall. Although we all expect to live long and healthy lives, fate can deal us a different hand. This is why we have to prepare ourselves and those we leave behind. Finding the right life insurance company is no simple task. Whether we want to pay a monthly fee for the mere possibility of a disability or accident involving our health, we hardly have a choice. Life is just too unpredictable. The first time I was approached by a life insurance company by mail, I tossed it in the trash without a second thought.

Depending on the type of life insurance you buy, you get return benefits accordingly. Generally life insurance is designed in such a way that it benefits the beneficiary more then the person insured. It is done so because when you pass away and there is no one to take care of them, then it is the insurance company who will take care of them by taking care of any liabilities and other cost factors that may come. I remember when one I told one of my close friends the benefits of life insurance he readily agreed for taking one life insurance policy.

As he was having nice and steady job, he decided to take a Term life insurance. Everything was going on fine, unfortunately my friend met with an accident and passed away. My friend had taken a home loan and a car loan and all these were taken care of by his insurance company. The other day I had gone to see his wife, although she was in the pain of losing her husband but still she was happy about the wise decision that her husband had taken due to which at least his family is saved from the financial mess that could have been created if her husband had not taken a Term life insurance.

During disturbing times, it may be hard for your family members to remember all that you have planned. Make a short list of your papers and where to find them as well as a quick abstract of any items you feel may not be clear. This way, a grieving family member could easily enlist the help of a friend if needed. If you’ve never considered life insurance, and you already have a family of your own, I would certainly recommend that you do some browsing around. Check with friends and see what life insurance company suited them. Disability is also a factor to consider. If you are disabled and no longer able to work, what will you do?

Well, if you stipulate this type of insurance with your company, you can receive a disability policy. We hate to think that this could happen, but we truly never know. A good place to begin your search for a life insurance company is the Internet. You can find a variety of plans and quotes that should best fit your concerns and income. In reality, we can never be certain of the future, therefore it is always prudent to plan ahead. One must always plan for his or her future. Life insurance is a must for every individual.

Do you know how much chromium your body needs in your daily diet? Generally, a healthy adult needs about 25 to 30 micrograms per day. As you age, your chromium needs may increase. Pregnant and breast feeding women needs about 30 micrograms of chromium daily. As a rule, your chromium needs are based upon your age, health, weight, and body size.

The next question most health-conscious people ask is how to obtain the necessary amount of this essential mineral. There are many different foods that contain chromium, but the amount is unfortunately small. These foods include meat, poultry, seafood, whole grains, dairy products, some herbs and spices, fruits and vegetables. For example, consider this list of chromium-containing foods:

- cup of broccoli = 11 mcgs
- 1 cup of orange juice = 2 mcgs
- 2 slices of whole grain bread = 2 mcgs
- 3 oz of turkey breast = 2 mcgs
- 1 tsp of dried garlic = 3 mcgs
- 1 tblsp of dried basil = 2 mcgs
- 1 cup of mashed potatoes = 3 mcgs
- 5 oz of red wine = 1 to 13 mcgs
- 1 medium sized banana = 1 mcg
- cup of green beans = 1 mcg

- 1/2 cup broccoli (11mcg)
- 1 cup orange juice (2mcg)
- 1 cup orange juice (2mcg)
- 2 slices of whole grain bread (2mcg)
- 3 ounces of turkey breast (2mcg)
- 1 tsp of dried garlic (3mcg)
- 1 tablespoon of dried basil (2mcg)
- 1 cup of mashed potatoes (3mcg)
- 5 ounces of red wine (1 to 13 mcg)
- 1 medium-sized banana (1mcg)
- 1/2 cup of green beans (1mcg)

If you enjoy broccoli and red wine, this may be good news for you! But of course you’ll need to consult with your physician to determine the right amount of chromium intake for you, depending upon your age, general health, medications, weight, and body size. As you age, your chromium needs may change. Women who are pregnant or breast feeding may need as much as 30 mcgs each day. A safe all-around amount of chromium for an average adult is between 25 to 35 micrograms.

High-quality chromium supplements are available in your local pharmacy or health food store as well as from online vendors. If you buy locally, be sure to ask questions of the store staff to make sure you’re receiving a legitimate chromium supplement. Buying chromium online is especially convenient since you can do a little homework about the vendor through the “about chromium” section of the web site. You may also find better discounts from reliable, legitimate online vendors as well as free shipping with your order.

This diet has been all over the television. There is even one spokeswoman who says that she has lost weight twice with the program. People have lost as few as thirty-five pounds and as much as 125 pounds with the program.

This diet plan started by marketing only to women. Today, however, they offer plans for men, women, and seniors. In fact they’ve even branched out and now offer plans for diabetics and vegetarians.

The Nutrisystem Diet uses the glycemic index to help people lose weight. The glycemic index is a numerical system based on the fact that certain foods effect blood sugar in different ways. Foods with a high glycemic index cause an insulin spike in the blood where insulin floods the blood stream. This causes hunger to return more quickly after this type of food is eaten. Low glycemic index foods provide more stable insulin production, are burned more slowly, and provide energy for a longer period of time during the day. Low glycemic foods do not spike insulin and generally are more satisfying.

The Nutrisystem Diet plan is a food delivery plan. Food is shipped to your home every month. The food is packaged in such a way that it does not require refrigeration. Each meal comes with easy to follow preparation instructions.

The meals are proportioned to provide low glycemic index foods and just the right kinds of nutrients. The good carbs in the dishes cause very rapid weight loss with very little effort. The weight, according to the plan, just melts away.

The Nutrisystem Plan encourages participants to eat low fat milk, dairy, salads, and fruits to each prepackaged meal. The plan focuses on eliminating the bad carbs that most people gorge on everyday. This diet realizes that protein is protein but the primary reason people gain weight is because they overeat bad carbohydrates that are high glycemic foods. Processed carbs spike insulin in the blood while carbs derived from whole grains help stabilize insulin.

The plan doesn’t shun exercise but it is designed to work without it. Exercise can only enhance this program since they are already giving you foods that are optimal for you. Whether weight loss will increase with activity is certain.

A criticism of the Nutrisystem Diet is that it is too expensive. However, what most people don’t realize is just how much money they spend on food everyday. When viewed in this context, a daily basis, the cost of the plan is quite reasonable. And its ease of use is also appealing. Nutrisystem requires no counting, no recording of meals, or any other record keeping of the sort. You select meals, add some healthy sides and consume.

Once you reach a point in time where high impact aerobic activities leave your joints aching, you’ll want to consider something equally as effective but less bone jarring. While jogging and aerobic classes are great workouts, they’re stressful on your joints. If you’re considering other alternatives, you might enjoy indoor cycling or spinning classes.

A few months ago, I added indoor cycling and spinning classes to my workout regimen, and the results have been encouraging. Two major benefits have been weight loss and an increase in energy. No longer do I feel the need for caffeine drinks mid afternoon, and my sleep is much more restful. Even so, it took me a while to consistently commit to these classes.

If you’re just getting back into working out aerobically after a long layoff, you’ll need to reacclimate. A key element is a concept called aerobic base building, which basically means establishing a base level of aerobic fitness. Just as it’s important to build a solid foundation for your house, it’s equally important for your fitness level.

Build Your Aerobic Base: The 3 Steps

There are three factors you’ll need to consider, and accept, when building your aerobic base. With indoor cycling, you’ll typically have display monitors telling you how hard and how long you’re working, which is quite helpful. The same is true with spinning classes, as most instructors provide specific instructions during the class to monitor exertion level. Here are the three factors explained:

Step One: What Is Your Target Heart Rate?

First, you’ll need to know your target heart rate. Your target heart rate is a range that’s 65% to 80% of your maximum heart rate. Determining your maximum heart rate is easy — just subtract your age from 220. Then, multiply that rate by 65% to get the lower end of your target rate, and by 80% to get the upper end. As an example, a 50 year old would have a maximum heart rate of 170. 65% of 170 is 111, and 80% of 170 is 136. That means a 50 year old should strive to pedal at an exertion level that makes their heart beat between 111 and 136 times per minute.

Step Two: Give It Time

Expect to build your aerobic base over a 6 to 8 week time frame, possibly longer if you’ve been inactive for a while. Plan to gradually challenge yourself so you can maintain your target heart rate for a longer period of time. Remember, the longer you work out at your target zone, the more fat you’ll burn.

Step Three: Increase Your Endurance And Intensity

Once you’ve built your aerobic base and know your target heart rate, don’t be afraid to challenge yourself. Add to the length of time you work out, and push yourself a bit harder. You’ll find as you become more fit, you’ll need to challenge yourself to reach your target heart rate. That’s good, because it means your heart is healthier, you’ve attained increased cardiac output, and you’re more fit overall.

After a few weeks at most, you’ll begin to notice the positive effects of indoor cycling. You’ll have more energy, you’ll sleep better, and if you watch your diet you’ll lose weight as well. If high impact exercises cause your joints to ache, you’ll find spinning classes and indoor cycling to be a very viable and challenging alternative.

Hypnosis has been around for a very long time. A lot of people have seen hypnotists on TV or at the fair. Hypnosis used in these ways is generally fun and it is always enjoyable to watch your friend quack like a duck every time the hypnotist says, “Hello”.

The lighthearted side of hypnosis is all well and good. However, only a minority of people realise that the health and wellbeing of individuals can be drastically improved using specific hypnotic instruction.

For hypnotic success it is vital that a person is willing. The subject, once hypnotised, is in a position of elevated influence and heightened awareness. Hypnosis really CAN light the touch paper for a healthier life.

A healthier lifestyle can be gained through hypnosis in many ways. A hypnotised persons mind can be re-programmed to eat healthier snacks instead of junk food every time they experience a craving.

All sorts of negative desires can be replaced with positive ones through hypnosis – a fresh fruit or vegetable smoothie instead of a fizzy soda or nutritious nuts and seeds instead of chocolate perhaps. The possibilties are endless.

Hypnosis remedies are not a cure all and hypnosis will not make you do things you would not normally do. A person has to be willing and open to the suggestions being made under hypnosis. If you truly want to drink apple juice instead of soda a suggestion made under hypnosis that soda tastes like dirt and apple juice is delicious can help you make a better decision when choosing what to drink.

Hypnosis can also help other areas of your life in ways that will enable you to maintain better health. Studies in the medical community have suggested that hypnosis is effective in helping people quit smoking, motivating people to exercise more, and helping with pain management.

A huge amount of mental health specialists are now turning to hypnosis for effective treatments for the likes of post traumatic stress. Medics are embracing this treatment for physical problems also such as the treatment of fibromyalgia.

Although hypnosis can permanently relieve some conditions (such as quitting smoking) it can’t cure cancer for example. In such cases it is used as a complimentary treatment alongside established medical practices. Hypnosis is however being viewed as a very welcome (and effective) tool by a large number of medical professionals.

There are many benefits to hypnosis besides the ones mentioned in this article. As with any alternative form of therapy, it is important to talk to your doctor about the options available to you in regard to your specific needs. It is also important to find a hypnotist who knows what they are doing. Talk to your doctor and see if hypnosis can be beneficial to you.

Joining or rejoining a health club after being somewhat sedentary for a few years can be a somewhat intimidating experience. After noticing 20 or so extra pounds adding up, I thought it best to join the ranks of fitness oriented people at the local health club. One particular aspect that worried me was I knew my days of high impact bone jarring workouts were in the past.

My first order of business was finding a safe, effective cardio workout. The goal was a good workout I could do 2 or 3 times per week, but minus the joint jarring workouts I’d done 20 years ago, like jogging and the stairmaster for 45 minutes at a time. Oh and, by the way, could we make this workout somewhat enjoyable?

A week or so into my membership, I noticed a rather exhausted but seemingly happy group of my fellow health club members exiting an indoor cycling class. After chatting a few of them up about the class, I decided to take part in the next available class the following morning.

I decided to participate in the next available class the following day. The instructor referred to the class as spin class and announced it was one hour long. Not daunted, I made it through the entire 60 minutes and enjoyed a challenging low impact workout that really got my heart pumping. Several months and several dozen spin classes later, I’ve found these classes to be an intergral part of my fitness regimen.

Indoor cycling or spin classes have been around for a while, despite my recent discovery. They are intended for people of all fitness levels and ages, and eliminate any problems associated with excessive impact. A typical one hour spin class workout will burn a few hundred calories as well.

Most spin classes are one hour in duration, offering plenty of time to warm up and reach what my instructer calls the “fat burning zone”. Heart rate monitors are available, which allow participants to see how hard they’re working. A good instructor will explain the nuances of a typical class, as well as helping newer participants become acclimated.

You’ll be cycling on a specially formatted stationary bike, known as a spin bike. Before class you’ll be able to adjust the bike according to your height and comfort level. And just like other aerobic classes, you’ll be working out along with music, which the instructor usually records and matches up with the workout.

During the class, you’ll be challenged but also able to work at your own pace. Instructors are trained to encourage students to challenge themselves, while at the same time being careful to remind those new to fitness to work out at a comfortable level.

Spin classes have proven to be an ideal addition to my fitness routine, and they’ll likely appeal to you as well. No matter your age or fitnes level, these classes or any type of indoor cycling will give you an excellent cardio workout in a motivated, supportive setting. If you’re looking for a great low impact cardio workout, consider trying a spin class at your local health club. Hopefully you’ll enjoy it as much as I do!

If you have decided to have a tubal ligation reversal, you probably have many concerns. Usually the biggest concern is about the tubal reversal cost. This cost will be determined by several points which we cover below.

If you search around, you will see figures quoted for the tubal reversal cost from about $3500 on up to around $30,000. Many quoted prices on line are in the $6,000 to $7,000 range.

o begin with, if you have the surgery done as an outpatient procedure or in a hospital seems to be a major factor in the price tag. To confirm this, just check out a few infertility websites on line.

Using a surgical center seems not to carry the staff overhead and higher facility costs of using a hospital. With the lower associated costs, the centers and their doctors are able to pass along the savings to you.

Additionally, use of a hospital implies a longer surgery with a longer post operative recovery time and more nights spent therein. This may be a necessary addition in cost due to your own medical needs such as diabetes or some other medical condition.

One more factor in the variation of tubal reversal cost is the services you truly get for the quoted price. That price might only include the doctor’s fee and not other things such as the hospital costs, lab work, initial consultation, etc. Even if done as an outpatient surgery, you may be required to stay at a specific hotel for four nights.

One more thing that appears to affect the cost in a strange sort of way is the experience of the surgeon and how often he performs the surgery. Those that do it less often seem to charge a higher price. Perhaps this is because of doing it so seldom, they must do it in a hospital as they don’t have their own surgical center. You know how doing it in a hospital can raise the price.

Your own BMI or body mass index can lead to a higher cost. As you research on different websites, you will find some surgeons tacking on additional fees as your BMI rises. Some will require the surgery be done in a hospital if you have too high a BMI. Then there are those who will not do it if your BMI is above 35 because it just increases your health risk from the surgery.

These points above should give you some idea of why the tubal reversal cost can vary so much. Please don’t make your decision based upon cost alone though that can be an important consideration. Look into all the other questions you should get answers for as well.

Rhinoplasty is becoming a fairly common plastic surgery procedure at Chirurgie Esthetique Montreal, but most people don’t want to be out of commission for very long. What should you expect when it comes to the recovery time? Well, rhinoplasty is essentially the reshaping of your nose. It’s a fairly invasive procedure that often requires breaking the nasal bone and doing some major reconstruction.

While techniques have definitely improved over the past decade, it’s still not reasonable to expect to walk out of surgery with your perfect nose. The intensity of the surgery requires some down time and if you are working or studying, you will definitely need to take some time off to recover from your rhinoplasty.

Time Requirements

Most people will need to take at least 4-5 days off, but a week is better, if you can book it. Chances are, you’ll feel well enough to go about your daily chores after about 3 days, but that doesn’t mean you should head off to work again at that time. While you may feel better after the first couple of days, there are some symptoms that will continue for a little longer.

The first 24 hours after your rhinoplasty surgery are the worst. Waking up, you’ll feel sore and swollen, something that definitely diminishes after the first day. However, it’s quite common to have a little nosebleed throughout the first few days after surgery. Obviously, it’s better to stay home during this time, rather than go in to work.

The bruising is possibly the biggest reason for taking time off from work or school. Due to the trauma of the reshaping, it’s very common to have two black eyes after this type of surgery, as well as bruising along the nose. You will probably want to wait until the bruising fades before heading out into public. The nose splint will be worn for a week after surgery, so while this hides some of the bruising; it is still not something most people want to walk around with.

You can speed the recovery time by applying ice packs to reduce the immediate swelling and to help quell bruises. This will shorten the amount of time you need to sit back and recover, as well.

Other Symptoms

Bruising and bleeding may be the main reasons for resting up a week, but there are some other symptoms that can be handy to know about, as well. Talk to your doctor, to find out just what to expect. There’s no reason to scare yourself, but it’s good to be aware of what to expect.

Swelling will be noticeable for up to a month and a half after the rhinoplasty. This is completely normal and the swelling actually won’t go down completely for at least a year. It takes this long to see exactly what the new nose shape will be, so if you’re not happy with the form your nose takes immediately, wait for a while before considering intervention. However, the majority of the swelling will be gone within a few weeks and you should be fine to return to work before then.

Rhinoplasty is a definite surgical procedure. It requires some invasive techniques that will leave the nose tender and sore for a while and it’s really best to take a week off work to recover. While you could technically head back after just 3 days or so, it would be far more beneficial to let your body relax and heal itself. There’s no need to put your life on hold, though, after a few days, you should be able to do just about any normal activity, with the nose splint on.
