For more visit us at: Body Moisturizing. People only realize they have a skin condition when irritation and itching become persistent, and these symptoms most often point to eczema.

It may appear in the most unpleasant locations where it can be easily noticed by others and, as a result, it may turn out embarrassing. Although there are many drugs and topical remedies available, very few doctors will rather go natural in the treatment approach. The most commonly prescribed drugs are antibiotics cortisone-based medicine, even if they are not totally safe and sure to cure the problem. And here we have the reason why the alternative eczema natural approach should normally sound appealing.

First of all, the eczema natural treatment insists on a diet. This is when you try to figure out what allergens cause the skin condition so that you can remove them from the food items list. Eat a higher quantity of a potential allergen over a ten-day period (shellfish, wheat, dairy products, tomatoes, chocolate, eggs, etc). And then during the following ten-day period eliminate the allergen completely from the diet to see the skin reaction to this eczema natural approach. If so, you may have identified the cause of your trouble.

The next step of the eczema natural treatment is to acquire anti-inflammatory natural oils which could be applied onto the skin in order to smoothen the area. If none of the eczema natural approaches has worked so far, check whether stress is not at the root of the problem.

Removing stress from one’s life is very much easier said than done, therefore you should think of practical methods of achieving it like following yoga classes or simply removing those elements in your life that you know to put you under a great deal of stress.

Another key thing to do while following a natural eczema treatment is to take zinc supplements. Zinc has quite an important part in the way the skin and the hair behave in the human organism. Other useful tips refer to taking showers instead of baths, exposing skin to ultraviolet rays, protecting the body against wet environments and staying away from chemical substances.

All in all, cortisone and antibiotics treatment may not have the desired effect on your condition. There is a big difference in the natural eczema approach, and it could actually be the path to complete health recovery.

There are a number of ways to get fit and lose weight- cardio exercises, dieting, resistance training, sports, or any combination of these. It’s just a matter of finding the right combo of exercises that fits a person’s schedule, physical capacity and preferences.

For fat loss, it’s a proven fact that any exercise combined with cardio sessions brings relatively faster results. Still, plenty of people get bored with conventional routines and find it a challenge to keep working-out consistently. The key to speedy fat loss is constant exercise, so going about it in a half-hearted manner will not yield significant results and cause further loss of motivation.

A lot of people are still unaware of the usefulness of Pilates for losing weight and getting lean. More than a few novice gym goers stop working-out because they find their programs too dull and tiring. Because Pilates workouts are done at a low intensity and are invigorating, they’re actually perfect for beginners who want to lose belly fat without dreading each session.

Pilates exercises can also be light enough to be able to help elderly fitness buffs and those with minor injuries stay in shape. After just a few sessions, one will notice a significant improvement in the body’s flexibility, posture and mental alertness.

Cardio combined with strength training is the most common exercise program prescribed for fast and effective fat loss. Incorporating Pilates sessions with these will improve fat-burning efficiency of your workouts even more.

Weight training is essential in a fat-loss program because building muscle improves our metabolism. Resistance training causes stiffness to connective tissue and the joints however. This is where Pilates can come in- the smooth and continuous movements stretch the muscles of the whole body and this regains the lost suppleness lost from lifting weights.

Core-based exercises are the essentially what Pilates is about. Simultaneous effort of the muscles of the abdomen, the waist, lumbar region and buttocks allow faster calorie burn- leading to faster loss of weight due to a reduced body fat index.

A raised metabolism is one of the best weapons for keeping of excess weight because a larger amount of calories are burned. Constantly stretching the body’s muscles causes them to be leaner, allowing a faster metabolism and a less flabby physique.

You may have heard of the Cabbage Soup Diet. Many people have lost immediate weight the first week or two they go on this diet, but have lost interest after that and regained the weight, which is much like the results on other low to no carb diets. For a diet to work long term, it must offer enough variety to be enjoyed and eaten over a period of time.

This diet is well known as a fat burning soup diet, being that it contains ingredients which are believed to help the body burn off fat. However, other than the cabbage soup, dieters on this regimen do not have a lot of dietary choices besides low to no carb foods such as fruits and vegetables.

When you analyze the cabbage soup or fat burning soup recipe, it could be considered another of the low to no carb diets. The soups main fat-burning, vegetables consists of: onions, tomatoes, peppers, celery, and of course, cabbage. Some of the more creative versions are now substituting broccoli or cauliflower for the cabbage. You can add spices to taste and bouillon or hot sauce, if desired.

This diet is very carbohydrate-poor, since carbohydrates are turned into sugar by the body and then stored in fat cells. This soup is vegetable based and low-carb; the ingredients encourage your metabolism to burn off more calories. This is why most people lose weight on the diet, but as stated above, a lot of people quickly lose interest in the cabbage soup diet.

Here’s how the cabbage soup diet works: you can eat all the soup you like whenever you’re hungry. Other than this, there are different things which you can eat depending on the day of the week. On day one, you can have fruit (except for bananas), on day two you can have vegetables except for peas, corn and beans. On day two you can also have a baked potato with dinner, to trick your body into thinking that you are still eating carbohydrates.

On Day 3, you guessed it, soup, fruits and vegetables and Day 4 is soup, bananas and skim milk. On Day 5, it is low fat meat and tomatoes, with soup, of course, and Day 6 is soup, meat and green leafy vegetables. The final day, Day 7, is soup and brown rice. This diet is not a plan you can stick with very long, because if you don’t lose interest due to lack of variety, you would eventually suffer mal-nutrition.

Just like all of the other low to no carb diets, the cabbage soup diet severely curtails carbohydrate intake. The diet doesn’t restrict how many times or how much you can eat, as long as you eat the soup or other allowable item for the day.

The best diets for helping you to lose weight over the long term are those which add fat burning foods while letting you have variety and meeting all of your nutritional needs. One such diet is Fat Loss 4 Idiots that you should check out quickly at the link below, which has helped thousands to lose weight without getting burned out on their diet.

A facelift, or rhytidectomy, is a plastic surgery procedure used to firm and smooth the skin around the jawline, cheeks, forehead, eyes, nose, mouth and neck. This type of plastic surgery reduces loose or saggy facial skin and wrinkles that are caused by aging

Your cosmetic surgeon will recommend the best facelift technique for you by assessing where the trouble spots are, how much sagging or wrinkling is present, your skin’s elasticity and the shape of your face. The goal is always to produce a lifting and sculpting of the face that looks natural and creates very little scarring.

Ideal candidates for rhytidectomy will be healthy both physically and mentally, and have realistic expectations about the procedure.Good facial skin flexibility and elasticity combined with a well-defined bone structure also help to create the best results. Now, however, advanced techniques in facial rejuvenation can help even those patients with severe ptosis (sagging) or bone structure issues.

Traditional facelift surgery, when correctly performedby a trained facial cosmetic surgeon, can address and surgically correct wrinkled and sagging skin throughout the entire face. This type of surgery provides the most dramatic and long-lasting results, but is also the most invasive technique. The procedure involves separating the skin from its underlying tissues, removing extra skin, and suturing the remaining skin back into place. Scarring around the ears and hairline may be permanent (though able to be hidden), and recovery can take up to a few months.

Designed to address deep facial folds along the mouth and nose, the deep plane facelift involves sculpting the area through fat removal, the tightening of facial muscles and re-positioning of the skin. Surgeons advise that excess swelling may result from this technique as a result of the deep incisions used.

Some facial problems such as creases around the mouth and nose, frown lines, saggy cheeks or downturned lips can be treated with endoscopic, or “scarless”, facelift techniques. This procedure uses three or more small incisions above the hairline or behind the ear, made with the help of a thin wand-like camera device (endoscope) and small surgical instruments. Endoscopic facelifts offer a much shorter recovery time and significantly lower risk of complications.

Mid facelift surgery targets bags under the eyes, the cheeks, and wrinkles around the nose, eyes, and corners of the mouth. During a traditional mid facelift, an upward lift is generated using small, deep incisions camoflauged in the lower lash line and in folds of skin around the nose.Endoscopic mid face lift techniques can create both a vertical and diagonal “lift” using small incisons hidden in the hair close to the temples. Patients undergoing mid facelifts will need about one week to recover and will enjoy less swelling and bruising than those undergoing more traditional surgeries.

Patients with saggy skin and deep wrinkles in the bottom third of their face may benefit from lower facelift surgery. One of two techniques, the S technique utilizes a small s-shaped incision near the ear.During the SMAS technique, surgeons create a line from the temple around the ear as they adjust the skin and underlying muscles of the cheek.Surgeons using either the S or SMAS technique will peel the skin away from the underlying tissues to remove excess fat and tighten the muscles and skin of the cheeks.

The mini facelift, also known as a “weekend” facelift, can be used to reduce minor sagging around the neck, jawline and cheeks. This minimally-invasive surgery has a quick recovery time, as its name suggests.

Slight sagging in the cheeks, neck and jawline can be addressed with the anesthesia-free thread facelift procedure.Thin threads pulled tightly within tiny incisions in the skin provide the “lift” and create a smoothing effect in the targeted areas.Patients enjoy the fact that any scarring is practically invisible and the threads are completely hidden.

Despite the technique your doctor performs be sure to choose a trained cosmetic surgeons, as doing so can help to ensure that you have the best results possible.

Are you aware omega 3 fish oil is just as effective, a lot safer and certainly a lot less expensive than antidepressants, high blood pressure drugs and anti-inflammatory arthritis and headache pain relievers?

And did you also know omega 3 fatty acids have been found to be just as effective (if not more so) and certainly a lot safer and less expensive than the three best selling prescription drugs.

And, that’s despite the fact that, like all pharmaceuticals, these three types of drugs have never cured a single person of depression, hypertension, arthritis or headaches. At best, they only suppress symptoms in a small percentage of people who take them.

But, like all pharmaceuticals, these three drugs are highly controversial and possibly dangerous. To begin with, they’ve never cured anyone and they’re only really effective in treating the symptoms of a small percentage of people who take them.

Let’s face it, all drugs, no matter how attractive they’re made out to be in hundreds of TV commercials, are very dangerous and should be avoided whenever possible and taken only after more natural alternative treatments are explored.

Drugs, no matter how attractive they’re made out to be in the hundreds of commercials that show every day on TV, are very dangerous. They should be avoided whenever possible or, at least, taken only after more natural alternative treatments are tried first.

Do you realize there are safer, more natural ways of dealing with and even preventing depression, high blood pressure and inflammatory pain without resorting to prescription drugs? One of the best and safest alternatives is to eat fatty fish such as salmon, sardines, herring or tuna at least two or three times a week and take a good quality daily fish oil supplement.

When you take a look at the evidence, it is quite clear.

Depressed people have significantly lower total omega 3 levels (Journal of Affective Disorders, Vol. 26, No. 38, 35-46), while omega 3 supplements showed significant benefits in just three weeks of treatment (American Journal of Psychiatry, Vol. 159:477-479). In other studies, omega 3 fatty acids were found to be an effective treatment for bipolar disorder (Archives of General Psychiatry, Vol. 56 No. 5) and borderline personality disorder patients (American Journal of Psychiatry, Vol. 160:167-169).

Studies have also found that fish oil is highly effective at lowering blood pressure. The American Heart Association (AHA) and the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) recommend that you eat cold water fatty fish at least a couple of times a week to reap the benefits.

The AHA and NIH that people with symptoms of heart disease such as high blood pressure take daily fish oil supplements that contain at least one gram of combined omega 3 DHA and EPA fatty acids also recommend it.

And as far as inflammatory arthritis and headache pain relief is concerned, omega 3 fish oil has been found to be nature’s most safest, potent and effective alternative to over the counter NSAIDs such as Advil, Motrin, Nuprin and Aleve and other anti-inflammatories (Arthritis and Rheumatism, Vol. 38: 1107-14.)

Actually, after starting an omega 3 fish oil supplement treatment program many patients in research studies were able to greatly reduce and sometimes eliminate their pain medicines.

If you are concerned about fish oil toxicity you can rest assured. The Harvard University School of Public Health recently confirmed fish oil benefits far surpass any threat of mercury or other toxins in fish by as much as 500 to one. (Journal of the American Medical Association 2006, Vol. 296: 1885-99)

Besides, there are high quality omega 3 fish oil supplements on the market that are fully guaranteed to be absolutely pure and totally free of all toxicity (www.omega-3.us).

Therefore, prior to starting a drug program or even if you are already on one consider eating more dish and taking omega 3 fish oil supplements instead. Who knows? You just may get better or equal results without the dangerous side effects and save a bundle of money at the same time. Now that sounds like a winning combination to me, don’t you think?

We sometimes feel happy for no reason at all and may want to sing and dance for joy. And there could be other times when we feel very sad and depressed. These mood swings happen to a lot of people but they do not occur every single day and apparently there are reasons for these mood swings. But for people who are overjoyed at one moment then depressed the next, it is highly likely that they have symptoms of bipolar and bipolar disease. Many myths which are often false have been conjured up by many people and it is because of this that the truth about bipolar disorder must be known.

What Bipolar Disorder Really Is

Bipolar disorder is also popularly known as manic depression. As the name indicates, the symptoms of this disorder are characterized with periods of euphoria or mania alternating with periods of depression. These periods are not just fleeting phases. They last for hours, days and months. Moreover these radical mood changes also hamper the ability of the individual to lead a normal day to day life.

In the mania phase, the patient may feel a burst of energy, may paint, sing or dance or quit his job or shop like a madman. The mania phase is characterized by the patient feeling euphoric for no apparent reason.

Alternatively, symptoms of low or no energy is what can be experienced by patients in the depression phase. Symptoms also include being very lethargic for no reason, being completely depressed and wallowing about everything.

Bipolar Disorder has become a common affliction these days with 3% of the adult population in the US affected. Even though the disease has been linked to genetics and family history, researchers are striving to ascertain the actual causes.

The onset of bipolar disorder has been observed to occur in the early adult and late teenage years. The bipolar symptoms in teens are initially mistaken by most people to be typical adolescent behavior. Therefore, not much attention is paid towards them and the symptoms become worse. This is why an early prognosis of the disease can lead to the healthy and normal life for the patient.

People with bipolar disease were often looked at as “mad” by most people in the early days. Being possessed by evil spirits was another perception that was given to them. But with the progression of new technology, these myths have been put to rest.

Below are some myths about bipolar disorder which are still being used today:

A good life is no longer possible for a person with bipolar disorder ” This myth is false as it can be seen that people all around the world who suffer from this disease have children and a great family and they lead perfectly normal lives. All that is needed for this to be possible is the ability to cope with and manage the symptoms when they occur and also a good support system.

Patients afflicted with bipolar disorder are forever alternating between mania and depression: Manic and depression episodes do occur but there tend to be more depression episodes than mania. Most of the times, mania is so mild that its hardly noticeable. Many a times patients dont have any symptoms for a long period of time.

Treatment for bipolar disorder is available with therapy and medicines. But even with these conventional cures available, one must not forget the love and support of family and friends as this is extremely vital in ensuring a normal life for patients.

Efficient food production in the world’s top economies has caused a glut of quick, irresistible food that’s more often than not cheap and loaded with calories. Fast food tends to be unbalanced and is deficient in fiber and other nutrients found in fruits and vegetables. It’s not surprising then that a high percentage of the populations in the Western countries are living on an unhealthy diet and suffering from obesity.

Between the endless supply of delicious fast food fare and increasingly short times we have available to us after work, it’s no surprise that people are unable to burn the calories they consume. The sedentary lifestyles most city-dwellers have fallen into these days are causing an upward trend in hypertension and ill cardiovascular health.

A lot of those that manage to find time to squeeze in exercise programs into their hectic daily schedules eventually get bored and stop after a few months. Reason for this is loss of motivation that comes about from inadequate workouts and insignificant results.

The number one reason people decide to work-out regularly is to lose body fat and get a toned and well-defined midsection. When they don’t see good enough results after a month or so, exercise sessions become dull and tedious.

It’s been found that abdominal and back exercises done on round, unstable surfaces (like a Swiss ball) are most effective in developing the core muscles. Doing these along with weight-training and high-intensity aerobic exercise can pave the way to rapid calorie-burn and melted belly fat.

The muscles around or midsection make up our core. These include the muscles in the lumbar area as well as those on the side of our waists and of course, the upper and lower abdomen. Most people make the mistake of doing conventional ab isolation exercises thinking it’s enough. Neglecting the other core muscles, especially those in the lumbar region can actually lead to back pain.

A faster abs workout that can give you a stronger core in less time can be attained through the use of tools like a Swiss ball or a Bosu ball. Both of these have round surfaces which when used as support for the body when executing abdominal or other resistance exercises will force the core muscles to work harder. The effort of trying to keep steady while working out on an unstable surface means more calories burned and improved core strength faster.

Another advantage to doing core exercises on a curved or round platform is a higher amount of calories burned. It’s been proven in a study using electromyography that more muscle fibers are active when doing crunches and similar exercises on a round surface. More muscle effort spells more calories used-up and more belly fat burned.

Companies specializing in health products are making huge profits these days. They sell anything from fat-burning pills to expensive exercise contraptions and people are snapping them up. With almost 65% of the populations in the countries of the West overweight, it’s no big surprise.

As the culture of fast-food spreads across the globe, an increasing number of people are falling prey to the temptations of high-calorie junk food. Obesity is on the rise and together with it other diet-related diseases like diabetes and high-blood pressure.

In their quest to lead healthier lives and find the fastest fat loss method, overweight people embrace the newest fad diet that comes along. The word ‘fad’ precedes ‘diet’ because that’s just what they are- popular for a while then as folks realize their effects aren’t sustainable, these over-hyped diet plans are quickly dropped for the next one that comes along.

Life these days require us to spend most of our waking hours in our office chair, behind the wheel or browsing the internet. These activities don’t actually require much energy and so the excess calories that we get from food eventually find their way into our love-handles and potbellies.

We only lose weight when we burn more calories than we take in each day. In that light, it’s ultimately better to do some form of regular exercise rather than trying to cut back on calories without working out. Depriving ourselves of proper meals can lead to nutrition imbalance not to mention painful ulcers and a low immune system.

Attempting to lose weight by dieting alone isn’t really smart because restricting the amount of food we eat makes us feel deprived. Self-deprivation can lead us to binge the next time we see a bucket of extra-crispy chicken or a plate of hot chili cheese fries.

Experts say it’s more effective to eat small portions whenever we get the munchies rather than stuffing ourselves every meal. Doing this can also keep our metabolism high and lets us burn calories more efficiently. It’s been discovered that our metabolic rate slows down considerably when our body senses a shortage of food.

Eating smartly by choosing healthier foods we’re getting our daily dose of calories from will ensure proper metabolism and the proper nutrition. Doing fat-burning cardio exercises along with resistance training to build muscle will also ensure quick fat loss and a lean physique.

The Types of Anxiety Disorders

by Bethany Jordin

There are three common kinds of anxiety disorders. Learning about these three disorders can help you to understand your anxiety and help you find out what is triggering your symptoms.

Knowing more about these disorders can help you to find out what disorder you may be suffering from, what triggers your anxiety and when it’s time to seek help. The first step on the way to recovery is to have a clear idea of exactly what you’re facing. Since the treatment options are slightly different for each of the types of anxiety disorder, this will help you to decide on the next move towards being treated and taking control of your life.

So what makes these three types of anxiety disorder different from each other and what are they called?

Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) – There’s nothing inherently unusual about experiencing anxiety from time to time, but generalized anxiety disorder is when you suffer from anxiety at nearly every turn. If you find that every situation, location and time causes you anxiety, this is likely to be the problem you face.

When you begin to worry obsessively and it starts interrupting your routine and how you interact with other people it is a problem that very well may boil down to a diagnosis of GAD. Only a qualified professional can make the ultimate determination though so you should definitely seek help for this condition before it completely takes over your life.

Panic disorder – Among the three most common types of anxiety disorder, panic disorders are the most well known. Panic disorders are characterized by severe, frequent panic attacks. The attacks are excruciating, but the dread of the next attack can be even worse than the panic attacks themselves.

In fact, these people suffer from panic attacks which are so intense that they will go to great lengths to keep from having a recurrence. There is some confusion between panic attacks and agoraphobia (fear of public places). These are two different disorders, although it is possible to suffer from both concurrently.

Social anxiety disorder – Persons with social anxiety disorder have the unfortunate experience of having the things which would only mildly rattle others send them into a serious anxiety attack. Many people who have this disorder will adjust their entire lives to avoid entering the situations which cause them anxiety. Generally speaking, nearly any social situation can set off an attack.

People with social anxiety disorder may experience symptoms which include nausea, rapid heartbeat, dizziness and profuse sweating. These symptoms may escalate into full fledged panic attacks depending on the situation.

If you suspect that you may be suffering from any of these three types of anxiety disorders, you should strongly consider seeking help. You don?t have to let fear control you; there is help for you. From pharmaceuticals to therapy to herbal remedies, there is an answer for you which can relieve your anxiety disorder and allow you to be in control of your life again.
