I'm really sorry about your mom. My mother has Cancer as well. I think you should stick to the positive. Maybe she wont die, my mom is doing perfect (knock on wood) and she has had cancer for almost a year now. She is storng and beautiful as ever.

I'm not gonna lie, this is gonna be a hard, long process. It will most likely contain surgeries & numerous treatments of chemotherapy or radiation. I'm one of 5 kids, and my older brother and sisters first mother died of breast cancer. Things worked out just fine for them, they are happy and sucessful.

I think you should talk with a concelour or something. Or possibly even your mother. Because they can give you real information on what happends if your mother dies. Im sure your mother would never put you with someone you feel uncomfortable with. I'm sure if anything happend you could stay with your step dad, but your going to have to get it worked out legally its not a process of "because i want to" its a long, legal, thing. I know it sucks..but i've been through it.

As for your sister, she is prob. more scarred than you are. You should have a talk with her and say that your doing what you think is best for her, explain to her about your father and the horrible things he has done. I'm sure she will understand, after all shes family.

Good luck and im sorry you have to go through this. I know TONS of people who had cancer, and luckily i know more survivors than diers.
